Global independent investment banking advisory firm, Evercore Group LLC joins Sayona’s world‐ class advisory team for North American Lithium (NAL) bid.  Move comes amid ongoing transformation of Québec lithium sector, with government investment arm, Investissement Québec, appointing world‐leading lithium‐ion battery researcher and with reported “Green Plan 2030” to support battery industry, including lithium mining.

Québec’s Superior Court approves monitor’s request to extend North American Lithium (NAL) bidding process to closing date of 22 January 2021; bidding process relaunched with all interested parties including Sayona to resubmit bids • Sayona confident of successful bid, backed by world‐class advisory team and turnaround plan based on integrating NAL with the Company’s flagship Authier Lithium Project to significantly improve plant performance and economics.

Leading U.S.‐based lithium corporation, Piedmont Lithium (ASX:PLL; Nasdaq:PLL) to invest up to US$12 million (A$15.5M) to become strategic investor and major offtake partner in Sayona, acquiring 19.9% of Sayona Mining and 25% of Sayona Québec.  Binding offtake agreement for acquisition of up to 60,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of spodumene concentrate from Sayona Québec to supply Piedmont Lithium Project in North Carolina

Sayona  Mining  advancing  its  Québec  expansion strategy after the monitor (administrator) appointed by the Court overseeing the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (Canada) process of North American Lithium Inc. (NAL), further to the support confirmation from both secured creditors of NAL, has confirmed that it will support the filing of a motion with the Court for the approval of Sayona’s joint bid for NAL with Piedmont Lithium Inc. (Sayona 75%;  Piedmont 25%).

Sayona Québec Inc.  formally  approve  restart  of  North  American Lithium (NAL) operation, with budget of approx. C$98 million. NAL on track for resumption of spodumene concentrate production in first quarter 2023, becoming 
the first North American local supplier of lithium 
concentrates. Sayona and Piedmont evaluating options 
for downstream processing in Québec, in order to 
capture  further value in the fast-growing EV and 
battery sector.

Restart of North American Lithium (NAL) operation picks up speed, with around 30% of 

plant and equipment upgrade now 

completed, including arrival of magnetic 

separator and crusher.   Senior management 

team in place; construction work on schedule 

with 50 construction workers currently on-site, 

doubling by September. Project on track to 

deliver first spodumene (lithium) concentrate production in Q1 2023, in line with 

Government plan to develop 100% local 

battery supply chain.
